Taliesin Satellite CampusPheonix AZ

Satellite campus Is designed to accommodate students and teachers in a live-work environment. The secondary use for the satellite campus is a visitor center. The concept derives from an original print by Frank Lloyd Wright using geometric forms and circles. By using this painting as a parti diagram I assigned each color a different meaning. By doing this I discovered that the overlapping sections created a flow of a structure. I assigned the different diagrammatical elements program to which best suited the use that needed to be fulfilled. The diagram has a very circular footprint which inspired me to integrated Nicolas Ledoux Barriere into the conceptual framework. The function of the barrier was a gateway to France campus structure would be a gateway into Taliesin.

The entry to the building is designed to hide the structure of the David and Gladys Wright house where are you are not able to view the house until you purchase a ticket and guided in. The student facilities are separated but observable as the tourists are guided though they see the architecture being conceived soon after they are presented with the David and Gladys Wright house.
