ABRAHAM RIVERA
School For The Arts
The school for the arts is a black box architectural experiment. With the use of parametric software, I created dynamism and meta-data that comprise algorithms that facilitate design methodologies. I show 2 separate design algorithms that implement separate philosophies. I use a remote that facilitates the process.
The exterior massing has separation between areas of student learning through theory and a separate laboratory area that is for hands-on work. The interior maximizes natural lighting and the conical observation of the movement of others through transparency. Social interaction in the spaces is engineered to maximize users' ability to decide whether or not to interact with others. Layering systems are created through overlapping masses and achieve selective interaction.
